NYC Adventures | Part 2 | Taking a Bite of the Big Apple

On day 3, it was time to take our bite of the big apple and we did. But I gotta say that no matter how many times I visit NYC I still feel like a tourist and not just in the touristy areas but everywhere, that is one busy city. You would think that being from SF I could handle the hustle & bustle of it all, but find I myself lost in all there is to see…and therefore I look like a tourist with my trusty OM-D around my neck, my mouth hanging open from looking up at the buildings and the fact that I’m constantly trailing behind to snap a shot (side note, reason #273 why I love Mike is that he does an amazing job never loosing me as I wonder off). That being said… I love it.

Mo & Drea were the best tour guides ever! We walked, we cabbed, we trained, we ate, we drank, we partied, we shopped, we made new friends, we saw the sites, we Baseballed, we even got a taste of NY meter maids (they suck) then we ate some more and we drank some more…it was awesome. We totally need to step up our game next time you guys our way…Thank you!

We rolled around with the top down which is really awesome unless you’re in the backseat on the freeway (learn something new everyday, sorry Mel!)

Shot w/ our Olympus OM-D…it’s pretty awesome!

We had the pleasure of attending Andrea & Mo’s wedding last month in NYC (well Jersey to be exact) and it was a freakin’ blast! From the second we stepped into the SFO airport until we landed back here it was a non-stop party (our over-worked livers can attest to how much fun we had). This is just a taste from the first 3 days! Thank you to our fabulous hosts…can’t wait til we go back!

Congratulations Mo & Drea, I hope your honeymoon is everything you wanted it to be!

The final chapter of our adventures in the North West…Mike makes dinner for the ladies! On our final night in PA (Port Angeles for those of you who aren’t hip to the lingo), Mike made dinner for my mother, our friend Barbara and me and it was DELICIOUS! Using the fresh pasta we bought at the Public Market in Seattle, the hot sausage links, mushrooms, tomatoes, garlic and wine we got at good ol’ TJ’s and his sexy Italian cooking skills he made us the most scrumptious meal…See for yourself!

So after our adventures in Seattle we hopped on a ferry and took a beautiful drive to my momma’s town, Port Angeles where we explored the snowy mountain tops, froze our butts off, showed Mike the lay of land and got our fill of chocolate and wine at the local tasting event!

Chocolate & Wine Festival…so much chocolate and look how smart my baby looks examining the wine!

Our second day in the lovely Seattle was spent seeing some amazing sites! We went took the train (their version of Bart) from our hotel to the space needle and damn do we have good timing getting there right at sunset…the city was pink!!!! Then we went to the Chihuly glass exhibit on my Aunt’s recommendation and WOW, don’t believe me see for yourself.

After our sunset adventures we went to dinner with my Aunt, Uncle and cousin, so awesome to catch up with family and the final picture was taken by my Aunt Diane and it’s so artistic…checkout our silhouette! Love it and love you guys!

So for Valentine’s day this year Mike & I decided to spend a couple days in Seattle then go hang with my momma in Port Angeles and we had a blast! Here is the photo story of our first day! Wondering the streets, hanging at the Pike’s Place public market, eating a ton of delicious food, riding the overpriced ferris wheel and getting up close an personal with gum wall… yes the gum wall! Gross!

Snowy Adventure’s in Tahoe!!! | Lost Archives

So earlier this year (January to be exact…I’m playing a little game of catch up), we took a trip up to Tahoe with some friends to shred the mountains and while the shredding was only moderately successful we had a blast! On our way home, Mike knew, as he always does that there would lots of stops on the way so I could take a million pictures and I gotta say he has become an awesome ‘get away’ driver, especially since I love sneaking into places I’m not supposed to be to get the best picture. Love you Boo!

Jackman-Buitrago Photo Colab | Family Vacation at Yosemite National Park

I haven’t been to Yosemite since I was a wee little baby so I was thrilled that I was invited to join my boo and his family on their National Park adventure last month. It was even more breathtaking than I imagined it would be and we had a fabulous time! We played in the river, hiked for what seemed like forever, took a dip in the pool, learned lot’s about the land, tried to catch a few squirrels, had a blast with the family and attempted my first starry night shoot and failed miserably due to an intense fear of complete darkness! I’m so excited to share our Jackman-Buitrago collaboration photos, as this was very much a joint creative adventure between all of us!!!!
