Q&A

Do you include a high resolution DVD of the images after all of your photography sessions?

No, not all of them. We offer an online gallery to view and purchase all of your photos that both you and whomever you choose have access to. We do this in effort to remind our clients to print their photos. We have found in the past that once people are in possession of the DVD they look at their photos on their computers and then forget to actually print their photos. We don’t want you and your precious moments to get forgotten about and left in computer, we want you to memorialize these beautiful moments and hang them on your walls! As a gift from me to you, if you purchase a Wedding album or a certain amount of prints we include the high resolution DVD as well. The Wedding packages that include a Wedding Photo Album also include the high resolution DVD and rights to the images. If the DVD is not included in the package you choose, you can buy it for a separate charge. That being said, we try to encourage our clients to buy their prints from the online gallery provided to ensure the print quality of your images. The printing companies we use to print your images are reputable companies that will print your photos at the highest level of quality.

Why should I buy a Wedding Photo Album?

In my experience, the Wedding Photo Album is the best way to memorialize your special day. The quality of the albums we print for you is unlike your average photobook. These albums are made to last a lifetime and come with a 100 year guarantee. They are the easiest way to keep a timeless memory of your wedding day. Having us design your book for you helps you get it done in a timely fashion without the stress and at the highest level of quality.

Why do we need an Engagement Session?

Most of our packages include an engagement photo shoot because we think they are an essential part of the wedding process. This photo shoot is a way to show off the couple’s personalities and mutual interests while expressing their love for each other. Most couples don’t have professional photos of them together before they get married. This photoshoot helps the couple learn how to be comfortable in front the camera together. These photos also become useful in creating Wedding Sign-In Books (see the images below), invitations, save the dates and more. Take this opportunity to spoil yourselves during the hectic wedding planning period and take a day off to capture your growing love for your partner.

Can we give you a list of specific photos we want taken?

Of course! We actually encourage it! It is important to us that we capture every special moment. To ensure we do this, please give us a printable list in advance that we can take on site with us. Examples of specific shots you want taken are also welcome. Feel free to share your Pinterest wall with us!

What is a “first look,” and should we do it?

A first look is when a couple sees each other after they’ve gotten ready but before the ceremony. Based upon your wedding itinerary we can help you decide if the “first look” is right for you. Whether or not you do this is entirely up to you, but it has a few advantages. It allows for you to have your formal intimate photos and wedding party photos taken before the guests arrive, leaving more time for you to enjoy the cocktail hour and your reception. We also find that it calms couples’ nerves to see each other before the ceremony, though it never takes away from the moment they first see each other in the ceremony.

They can happen all sorts of ways…it’s completely up you guys! First Look

How far in advance do we need to book you?

Obviously the sooner the better. The dates in Wedding Season seem to fill up fast and we don’t want to miss out on the honor of being your Wedding photographer. It is advised to begin booking your wedding photographer right after you have booked your wedding venue. That being said, if you call us the week before your special day and we are available we’ll do it! When you inquire about a date, I’ll place a soft-hold on it until you place the deposit to hold the date indefinitely. If another couple inquires about the same date prior to you making your deposit, you still get first dibs and will have 48 hours to make any decisions before we open up the date to others.

Do you have a studio?

No, Chloe Jackman Photography does not work in a studio. Working in a natural environment seems to bring out the best in our clients. We want to capture authentic smiles and happy moments of you and/or your loved ones. Plus who could need a studio when they have the beautiful Bay Area as their backdrop!

Do you travel?

Yes as much as possible! We love the opportunity to take new photos in new places. Traveling fees vary depending upon the distance and transportation. Please see the Yelapa and Playa Del Carmen galleries under weddings for examples of destination Weddings.
