From the second I sat down with these two, I knew I would like them! From our first conversation all the way to their wedding day, I was flat out in love. Especially when Bella told me that she would be wearing a gold wedding dress. GOLD!
It All Started at the Fishbowl
Ben & Bella met at the Fishbowl, a small San Francisco bar, on January 2, 2009. That night Ben decided to tackle the bar’s jukebox and after some time, decided on Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire”. This song would later become the anthem to their relationship. Every anniversary Ben and Bella make sure to take the time to play their special song.
The Big Day
Ben and Bella had a stunning winter wedding filled with deep purples, reds and my very favorite color, gold. They wanted their first look to be at Warm Water Cove, a funky, industrial area in the Dogpatch. It was fabulous and oh so my style!
It was a perfect crisp November day for a wedding at Dogpatch Wineworks. The open space was warm with lots of great industrial details. When the time came for Bella to appear, she looked fabulous in her gold Notte by Marchesa wedding dress. Ben, wearing his Artful Gentlemen suit, couldn’t take his eyes off of her. Bella’s bridesmaids complimented the couple’s look by wearing deep purple Diane von Furstenberg dresses. When the time came for Ben and Bella to say I Do, the crowd cheered and prepared for the celebration to follow.
Food, the San Francisco Way
Before getting into the details, let me say that this sassy couple knows how to throw a rad party! The bride decorated the tables with centerpieces made from recycled beer bottles filled with flowers by Flowers by TAI and DIY table numbers. Food was the focus for this couple’s big day. Because Ben and Bella love tacos and had spent many mornings brunching at Tacolicious, they were thrilled to have their wedding catered by them. After endless amounts of tacos, guests indulged in the San Francisco favorite, It’s It’s in three different flavors!
When the time came, the newly weds stepped onto the dance floor and danced to their special song. Yes, you guessed it!: Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire”. When the song ended, guests joined them and rocked through the evening to tunes by DJ Jeremy.
Bella and Ben, wishing you many years of laughter, taco brunches, strong cocktails, adventures around the world and sweet evenings spent dancing to the ‘Ring of Fire’.

I heart these two and their adorable families. I was overwhelmed by the love and joy Tammy & Micah’s families showed them during their beautiful celebration and going through their photos I feel the love all over again. As I LOL and the insane amount of group hugs that took place, the hilarious relationship of Micah and his brother, the little monkey that Tammy has had since childhood and that her sister would love to throw out the window of a moving vehicle and of course the “little awesome” stitched into Micah’s jacket by TailorMaid! Then there are the tears I find bubbling up in me when I remember all the joyful tears the joining families shared once it was official and of course more group hugs
I am so very happy for you two! Congratulations!!!!
There is something so special about San Francisco City Hall weddings; from the adorable judges, the intimate guest list, to stunning backdrop. People come from all over the world to tie the knot at our beautiful city hall and I’m honored to have the chance to shoot there as often as I do. Martin and Katie’s sweet celebration was no exception.
Martin and Katie met doing what they love, playing ultimate Frisbee. Martin plays on the reigning men’s national and world champion team, Revolver. It was love at first disc!
On their big day, Katie looked smashing in her classy, short dress by DVF with coral shoes that complimented her whole look. Katie and Martin tied the knot with their close friends and family as witness. Everyone was in smiles.
After the ceremony the group flocked to Katie and Martin’s good friends Crystal and Geoff’s house in San Francisco. For their special celebration, Crystal cooked an incredible four-course meal!
To top it off, Kristen and Martin had two more celebrations with their families; one with Martin’s family on the Oregon coast and then a celebration with friends at a friend’s house in Glen Ellen, Sonoma. They know how to do it right!
Katie and Martin, I wish you both a life full of happiness, joy, and fond memories. Have a wonderful time on your honeymoon in Italy at Lake Como (where Revolver is competing in the world championships) and GO REVOLVER!
Congratulations lovebirds!

Jen and I bonded over our love of cheetah print long before we met. From the first chat to every encounter since, I have loved this precious little family more and more.
Jen & Ricky’s love for each other is sweet and tender with a hint of playfulness. They have a deep love for Halloween and their home is festive and spooky all year round! The bond they share for their adorable baby boy Oliver melts my heart. He is only one and a half years old and full of life, bouncing around with his toothy grin.
For their elopement at San Francisco’s City Hall, Jen showed up with her hair and makeup looking fabulous (done by herself!) and a beautiful DIY dark red and black rose bouquet with supplies from Michaels. She looked beautiful smiling coyly at the camera.
Being at this wedding was a real privilege for me. When the time came to say I Do, I got to be Jen and Ricky’s signing witness! Their family of three is full of love and I was happy to be involved and give my support.
Congratulations Jen and Ricky! I wish you happiness and endless years full of Halloween decorations and cheetah print!
